Natchez Hills Winery and Vineyard is a small family owned, boutique winery in the hills of Middle Tennessee wine country in Hampshire, TN. Natchez Hills Winery was born from a vison of Jim and Karen Odom who were inspired to create a unique and local experience combining their passions of wine, music and bringing people together. Natchez Hills vison was to create a first-class, local destination where people from all over could experience the best of what Middle Tennessee had to offer.
The Odom family continues to elevate the local Tennessee wine experience and now has 3 tasting room locations in Tennessee. The vineyard and first winery tasting room is located in Hampshire, TN, in 2017, a tasting room at The Nashville Farmers Market was opened to the public and then on June 11th, a tasting room at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Hermitage, TN opened up as well.
South of Nashville near the historic Natchez Trace lies Natchez Hills Vineyard and Winery. It is at that location that an old-world crafted approach takes place to small batch wines using traditional winemaking techniques as to ensure the grape's truest expression is created. It is at that location, they produce the wine you taste at all 3 tasting rooms.
At the second location, The Natchez Hills Winery at The Market offers guests the experience of visiting them right in the heart of Music City. There knowledgeable staff will help guide you through your tasting of their varietals, educating new wine drinkers and sharing stories with the seasoned connoisseur. Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking The State Capitol and Bicentennial Park is available at this location, all while you sip on some of the best local wines Tennessee has to offer.
As of June 2020, a tasting room has opened at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. Guest can enjoy indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the vast Hermitage grounds or take a wine slushee to go for an educational walk around the property. At this location, each General and President tour ticket includes a complimentary wine tasting of three wines.
We were able to sit down and interview Katie Davis, who wears a lot of hats for the Natchez Hills Winery. Katie is the tasting and wine club manager, she pours wine, makes charcuterie boards for the guests, she even was the entertainment at one point, playing her acoustic guitar and taking song requests for the guests during their wine tastings.

Katie poured the Riesling for us first, which is also called The Retreat, it was delicious! It was 85 degrees and sitting outside sipping on that wine was wonderful. With 12.75% ALC/VOL, it was an off-dry fruit forward wine that was bright and crisp with notes of honey, lemon, citrus and pear and retailed for $21.99

The next one Katie poured for us was The Naughty Tea (Southern Sweet Tea Wine) made from 100% natural tea with 10% alcohol, it was very nice with a little hint of peach, perfect for a nice summer day! That wine retails for $10.99 and is their most popular wine and out sells all of their other wines 4 to 1, so you should try it.

The third wine we tried was the Born for The Storm Red Wine, this was a young Cabernet Sauvignon she said that was 12.75% ALC/VOL, it was a medium fruit driven, with some vanilla, chocolate and oak elements to it. It was very nice and smooth, a medium of the road wine that a lot of people would enjoy and retails for $25.99
Natchez Hills Winery ships to 39 states currently and you can become a wine club member online or at any of the tasting rooms and save 15% on all the wines you purchase at one of their locations or online www.natchezhills.com/shop-wines
