Our first stop was Delmonico Winery in Baxter, TN. This beautiful winery is very close to Cookeville, TN and has gorgeous views! With 15 wines to choose from on the menu, this winery has something for everyone whether you like your wines dry, off dry, or sweet. They also offer a wine/cheese cracker pairing for $35 per couple that includes tasting their 15 wines. We did that tasting while over looking the vineyard and it was awesome. They also have brunch on Sunday’s so you can enjoy a yummy mimosa with some delicious food. We had a wonderful experience Delmonico Winery!
Visiting here really gave us a good example of what Tennessee has to offer when it comes to wine. We highly recommend the full tasting experience! We can’t wait to go back. Huge thank you to all the staff who were incredibly kind and helpful ❤️
Our second stop of the day was NorthField Vineyard and Winery and is located in Sparta, TN located in the Upper Cumberland part of Tennessee. This family farm has been around for 3 generations and in the past decade has turned into a winery as well. We had the pleasure of meeting Marty, who walked us through a tasting of all their wines and showed us around the property!
The whole experience made us feel like we were spending the day hanging out at our family friends vineyard. Gorgeous views and a peaceful atmosphere. We highly recommend you visit this winery and follow their page, because they are always posting about great events happening there. It’s also a great place to have a wedding or special event.
Just an hour and a half from Nashville, visiting Northfield Vineyard and Winery would be the perfect day trip! Our favorite wines we tried there were, Parched and Pale (an unoaked Chardonnay) and Reuben’s Red. Their most popular selling wine is called Ol’Black Izzy (a blackberry wine that is semi-sweet).
